Sunshine  Therapy

My name is Roselind Liberty Hirsch.  I have always had a passion for making a positive difference in peoples lives. I worked in nursing for about 12 years mostly in hospitals and clinics.  I worked in medical surgical, cardiac and intensive care as well as L&D and gynecological med. surg.

I also have a passion for animals and teaching. I worked as a wildlife educator  at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans for about 3 years.  

I then decided to return to my first passion which is working in the healing field and decided to go back to school.  I have always been interested in alternative therapies and feel that body work can be significantly beneficial to the health of an individual.  I have had my own experiences of great healing with my own body through body work and wanted to help others find optimal health through body  work.   I spent a year going through intense schooling to become a licensed massage therapist.  I have an expanded understanding of the anatomy and physiology along with learning a wide range of therapeutic massage techniques influenced from both Eastern and Western schools of thought.

I have also always wanted to assist in the pregnancy and labor/delivery world. I had some experience working in L&D and gynecological med. surg. giving patient care.  However I have always wanted to be more involved. I also went through Dona International Doula training and am a Certified Doula.  As a Doula I can help in a wide range of pre/peri and postnatal care helping the mother and family to achieve the most positive birthing experience possible.  As a Doula I don't give clinical or medical care. This gives me the freedom to care for the mother and her family in ways that clinical staff don't really have the time to give.  Families that use a Doula are given stress relief along with many other benefits so that they can focus on the joy of bringing in a new life.  Through my different career chapters I have come full circle to my  true calling and am very excited about the wonderful experiences ahead.
